Learning at the Centre
Due to significant roll growth (from 450 students - 860 students, with 30 new staff), Alamanda College needed to cultivate their culture, where learning is always at the centre. Principal, Lyn Jobson spent time with us sharing the ways they are achieving this: "We aspire to be a school renowned as a vibrant community that lives by the school’s motto of ‘Dare to be Wise’ in all our thoughts and actions."

Celebrating Diversity - reflecting our cultures and countries |
I loved that the vision is clearly visible across the school - along with key words, and dispositions on the walls, in the classrooms, and outdoors. Here are a collection of photos from our walk around:

Leadership Development
Leadership Development is a top priority - staff feel empowered and are given hope & time. The strategic plan is transparent, and evident throughout the school / mini school precincts, with an Assistant Principal. Staff meetings are centred around learning, and the PLD is targeted accordingly.
