A collaborative, informal learning session

Part One: LCN and Personalised Learning

Presenters: Sue Ruxton, Bryce Mills & Leanne Strand (Murrays Bay Int)

The power of technology - Google opening up the learning for all -building partnerships between students, parents and the teachers. Goal Focused feedback - open up to all for commentary, and viewing.
Positives: changing of culture, transparency in the learning, the different types of facilitation, risk taking, students take over - then we know we are on the right track.

The exciting bonus of this session was bumping into an ex student from LBC - I was very proud to hear Bryce speaking with such confidence, expertise and passion. Wehi nā! - awesome!

Part Two: Key Learning and Next Steps

Presenter: Vicki Robinson (Pokuru School) Te Awamutu (Rural and Roses Network)

Sustainability - Leadership  - principals and deputies. We meet twice a term. Different strengths & gifts. Central meeting space. Moving together as a network. The students are in the driving seat, owning their learning.
